Common Bangkok condo red flags
Small signs that tell you a lot about a building.
Most Bangkok condos are fine. A few small signs tell you a lot about how a building is run and how your stay will go.
In the building
- Poorly kept lobby, lifts, or corridors
- Pool or gym closed or clearly neglected
- Security that feels loose or understaffed
In the unit
- Damp smells, water stains, or mould around windows and bathrooms
- Weak water pressure or slow drains
- Poor mobile signal, or a lot of street noise on the floor
In the paperwork
Be cautious if the landlord avoids a written inventory, will not confirm deposit terms, or cannot show ownership. None of these are dealbreakers on their own, but together they are worth a pause. We check these on your behalf before you commit.
